Visited Lizzie's for the second time with my mum, sisters and 2 children. We werea group of 6 plus a baby so were given a small room on our own. We had a lovely afternoon tea, an early Mothering Sunday treat! We all enjoyed it and will be going back again soon. Very nice.

"Calm understudied elegance and a ye olde ambience makes for an enchanteaing experience" 5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 July 2017 - subashr from Toronto
There's something about perfectly dressed sandwiches along with a delicately infused cuppa tea in a quintessential british establishment that somehow politely makes Father Time to leave things well alone and move elsewhere. Lizzie's tea room was an enchanting interlude in a trip full of visits to ancient places and it's mix of delectable cakes and savories along with the perfectly matched teas in rooms that were furnished with classic yet comfortable linen and furniture made for a perfect afternoon break. Coming back again the next day we discovered that there was so much wonderful china that would make one of a kind gifts and priced so right it was a steal. This is the kind of place that if I lived here would be a daily haunt. The limpid clarity of light, the hushed almost library like atmosphere punctuated by the occasional laughter of the other patrons most of which I understand from Liz were regulars makes for the perfect place to take a break far from the madding crowd.

My sisters and I used Lizzie's Tea Room as the venue for a surprise 60th birthday party for our mum and it could not have been more perfect. We found the tea rooms via the incredible (and very much deserved) reviews on Trip Advisor – and I am so glad we did!! Lizzie is one of the loveliest and most helpful people you will ever meet and she went to a huge amount of effort to make sure everything was perfect for us. We had a gorgeous afternoon tea of sandwiches, salads, cakes and scones for 30 people, all on beautiful vintage china. My mum has a gluten allergy so Lizzie arranged for all of the cakes to be gluten free and they were absolutely delicious – genuinely some of the best cakes I have ever tasted. She was so flexible with the arrangements so that we could make everything really personal and on the day she, her husband and her staff were so kind and welcoming to all our guests. Everyone commented on how fabulous they were. What more could you want – a gorgeous, quirky venue, delicious food and wonderful staff. They even gave my mum a birthday card! My mum had an amazing time and said afterwards that the whole thing could not have been more perfect – and so much of that is down to Lizzie and her team. I would hugely recommend this tea room to anyone and everyone. Once you've been, you will definitely go back!! I only wish I lived closer!! Thank you so much Lizzie, you have been brilliant xxx.

"Wedding Tea" 5 of 5 starsReviewed 16 May 2015 NEW We booked Lizzie's for a wedding tea for 34 people and it was absolutely perfect! China cups, and teapots, vintage cake stands and a delicious home made tea. The food was amazing - home made scones and cakes and finger sandwiches and the unique ambiance of this lovely tea room made our special day even more special. Lizzie has added her own lovely personality to the tea room and it is like taking a trip down memory lane. You can even buy the teapots!
"Lovely retro tea rooms well worth a visit" - David P : Ibstock, United Kingdom
I called in today having heard good things about these tea rooms and read the reviews on here. I can honestly say that I wasn't disappointed. A generous pot of tea plus a very nice slice of shortcake, served up on proper china plates and cups. Both Liz and Natasha were very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. I will certainly be visiting again.
